Isa akong obsessive-compulsive na theater major dahil maaga kong natutunan sa aking mga guro na hindi ako ang biyaya ng langit para sa sangka-teatro-han, o maging sa sangkatauhan. Sabay ang makailang debate sa klase if the actor is born, not made o vice versa, pati na ang mga gabahang notes ni Sir Herbie o ni Ms. Shamaine (mas-OA kay Herbie, may mapagmahal na daot na kasama), maaga kong natutunan na madami pa akong kailangang matutunan, na hindi sapat ang baon ko noong talento sa bundok maski na nakapasa laban sa 450 na nagsubok makapasok mula sa buong Pilipionas. Sa bawat rehearsals pinatay nila ang baon naming yabang, ang baon naming pag-aakala na kami ang pinakamahusay, pinatay nila ang aming mga mumunting mga kaluluwa para matutong magsipag, makipaglaban at makipagpatayan para muling mabuhay at maging mga tunay na alagad ng sining at hindi alagad ng aming mga sarili. Ang pagpapakumbaba sa harap ng taumbayan na dahilan ng aming edukasyon, ang pagpapakumbaba sa harap ng mga pagsubok at pag-alam na marami pang pwedeng gawin o matutunan, natutunan ko yan sa loob ng apat na taon at hanggang ngayon ay ina-unlearn at muling inaaral.
Isa akong obsessive-compulsive na theater major at 9 kami noon sa aking batch (madalas ay apat lang sa isang batch) at lahat kami bagamat mapusok, palaban, at nagsisipag para sa kadakilaan, lahat ay mapagbigay pagdating sa entablado (matapos ang ilang taon na binubo magkakasama). Siyam kami at pakiramdam ko nahuhuli ako sa lahat noong first year high school (aba naman, ang alam ko lang noon ay maging kontrabida sa stageplay sa probinsya at tumawa ng malakas, gumiling konti at papalakpakan ka na). Sabi ni Herbie sa isang sermon sa kapwa ka-major ko, "It just takes 1% talent and 99% hardwork!" Wala siyang pakialam kung bano ka o tuod umarte pagpasok, nasa kung paano ka magsisipag para humusay. Alam kong nahuhuli ako sa lahat, at ang baon ko mula sa probinsya ay hindi sapat, pero pwede akong matuto sa pagsisipag, at dinaan ko nga sa sipag.
Isa akong obsessive-compulsive na theater major, mayroon akong notebook noon kung saan sinusulat ko lahat ng mga notes o kaalaman o insights mula sa aking mga guro (madalas nakasulat sa likod ng script na madalas din may kasamang positive mura hahaha) , at kinikilalang mga artists. Nakalkal ko ito kaninang umaga at naalala ang kuwento ng ilang mga kaibigan patungkol sa nabubuong pagmamataas, katigasan ng ulo, at self-concept sa mga artista ngayon sa entablado. Hindi hulog ng langit ang talento, hinahasa ito at hinahasa at pag nasanay ka na, maghahanap ka pa ng bagong bagay na maaring matutunan, ipamahagi, isabuhay.
Isa akong obsessive-compulsive na theater major subalit madami pa akong hindi nalalaman, marami pang maaring matutunan, marami pa akong ihuhusay subalit sa ngayon at magpakailanman, nais kong ibahagi ang ilan sa aking mga kaalaman, magamit ng marami sa entablado o maging sa kanilang buhay.
